North Bay PTO has an open membership enrollment program, you can join anytime.  There is no fee to join.

Here are some of the advantages of being a PTO Member:

• Build your child's self-esteem when they see you active at their school; being an involved parent is one of the most significant ways to help your child do better in school 
• Become better connected with school staff when you volunteer
• Gain a greater understanding of broad educational issues, and those specific to North Bay
• Have a voice in school activities and programs
• Establish relationships with parents of children of common age and interests
• Get to know your children's friends
• Acknowledgement for first priority in classroom volunteer positions
• Receive regular email notification of school events, volunteer opportunities and news that effects North Bay population
• Participate in member-only extracurricular, family-fun activities

PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization.  At North Bay Elementary it is a professional, self-supported, volunteer organization.  North Bay PTO has three major functions:

1. Organizational Networking: providing parents and teachers a cooperative exchange of ideas and support to benefit the academic and social success of students.
2. Social Event Coordination: celebrating keep the learning process fun and demonstrates parental support of children and faculty alike.
3. Generate Revenue: funds are necessary not only to fulfill the operational expenses of the above, but revenues generated allow the school, as a publicly funded entity, to channel community dollars into projects that are limited by budget constraints or not supported thru tax dollars.  PTO accounts are overseen by a governing board, who determine, by vote, how monies should be spent.
